I bake cakes, but I also love baking cookies - especially if they're chocolate. Here's a batch I made for Christmas with my girls . . .
These cookies are absolutely amazing ~ the combination of rich dark chocolate and fleur de sel will knock your socks off. They're also super easy to make - which I love. Once the butter and sugars are beaten, you basically throw everything else into the mixer and blend until the flour just barely disappears. Then you form into logs, refrigerate, slice, and bake. Voila! You can find the recipe for these 'World Peace Cookies' in Dorie Greenspan's cookbook, Baking: from my home to yours. Santa really enjoyed them, and I'm sure you will too.
